Well... As I mentioned in my profile intro, I don't blog about myself(because the www is a dangerous place).. Unless it is something that inspires or touches my heart.. In 2008, I went to a country that touched my heart deeply - Cambodia.. So I did a travel blog for my trip... In this blog, I am going to share my experience of an overseas concert by one of the most talented indie singer in Taiwan. This person, Cheer Chen 陳綺貞, has inspires and touches my heart with her music since 1998. Some of you might not know who she is but definitely you would have heard a couple of her songs before. I will not go deep into her biography. For more info about Cheer Chen, you may visit her official website or wikipedia(one of your best friends online).

Recently in May, she released a dvd boxset for her immortal concert tour and I managed to purchase it on day 1 of the release in SG(although abit expensive $56!!). After watching the concert dvd, I could no longer "tahan" anymore. It was simply impressive!!!! No glamorous stage design but yet Cheer did it - The visuals, entertainment and music components were really solid and sincere!!! Definitely worth your time and money to attend such a concert. So I told myself, if there is a chance to attend her future concert, I will not hestitate to go. True enough, 2 weeks later Cheer announced that she will be holding her "A Piece of Summer" series concert tour starting from end July in Taiwan. Wow... That's was unbelievable - that sounds like a dream come true for me~ Mind you... Cheer Chen is really very popular in Taiwan!! Although she is low profile and seldom goes on media pubicity, she got a hugh fanbase of diehard fans that comprises of high school/university students(because she always do campus tours) and white collar working adults. Her past concerts tickets were sold in split seconds and therefore she got a nickname "秒殺天后"!! So you really MUST have magic fingers, patience and luck to be able to purchase her concert tickets in Taiwan!!!
I donno whether I was really that lucky or what? The ticket sales date fell on a public holiday(28/5/2010) in Singapore. So I was all geared up that day to "click" her taipei concert out(Thank you fLy for offering your help too). Really drama lor, I still went ahead to "practise" how to purchase tickets via the Taiwan ticketing website and I even had my credit card number "copied" so that I can quickly "paste" it at the payment page hahaha!! But just 5mins before the official sales time at 12:00, the server of the taiwanese ticketing website clashed!!!! Can you believe it??? - 秒殺不是蓋的!! Subsequently, no matter how hard I tried to reload and refresh... the message that I saw was "service unavailable"... WTF!!! I was damm pissed off and decided to give up after 20mins to go for lunch.... But due to the typical "kiasu" nature of Singaporeons, I decided to give a last try after my lunch.. At exactly 13:04hrs, miracle happened!!!!! I managed to sercure 2 tickets at the verge of giving up!!!! I was jumping like crazy in front of my mum when the transaction gone through hahaha!!!! And shortly within 2hrs of sales, all the tickets were snapped up by the Taiwanese!! Although I got almost the last few rows at the premium zone, but I was really contented and it turned out to be a blessing in disguise!!!!
