A Piece Of Summer II - Venue

7/30 NTU Sports Centre - Cheer Chen "A Piece Of Summer II" Taipei concert

The concert venue was set at the sports complex of one of the top notch Taiwanese tertiary Institute - National Taiwan University(NTU). I am very familiar with this place as I have been there several times(I even pretended to be a student in their general library before hahaha!). I would say Cheer and her production team made a good choice. The venue is medium size and can hold up to 5000 people. Even when my seat was way behind, the stage was still not that far and unreachable to me. My friend and I(thank you NSL for willing to go with me although you are not familiar with Cheer's music) reached the place at about 17:40 after a heavy downpour.

I went to the booth to browse for mechandise and got myself the lanyard 票夾(which I now use with my staff pass) and concert t-shirt. They were also selling a "limited edition" post card set which comprised of 13 post cards photos by Cheer. But sorry lor, this "limited edition" post card set (NT$650~S$29) was way to expensive so I did not buy - I am still a practical person, ganna chop carrot to buy the tshirt already so I won't repeat my mistake twice. As one of my friend warned me that the security checks for cameras at Taiwan concerts are very strict, I was so stressed out with my DSLR gear. I got my D90 and a tamron 18-270mm(NSL - Thank you so much!!! If not for your generous loan my own 18-250mm would have been disasterous) to hide and they are really not "SMALL"!!! wah laozz... Super stress lor... but somehow I saw everyone brought their DSLRs, 4/3 micros and compacts. Seemed to me nobody was really bothered about the "camera check" except me hahaha...

We queued up and got in at about 19:15hrs.. And best part - No security checks of bags for cameras at all!!! We even got the official concert notepad FOC(cost NT$180 ~S$8 to buy) during entry - Such nice doorgift from Cheer and her team hahaha... The venue was really nice!!! We entertained ourselves by taking photos of the surrounding and ourselves while waiting for the concert to begin. Most of her fans are students but I did noticed that the fans seated at the premium zone were mostly 氣質adults hahaah... Of course, the "must-have" props for the concert - 機車帽! Unfortunately I did not manage to get one on time... :( But nevermind, I got it finally and I will bring to her future concerts and wear hahaah!! I will summarized the concert according to different segments in the blog to serve as a reference and memo for myself and whoever interested to attend this concert in future(SG).
